Settling In

FCCLA has taken over the Gaylord Opryland Hotel! Well, at least it seems like it - there are FCCLA'ers everywhere you turn - elevators, restaurants, hallways, and meeting rooms. Since there are over 5700 of us here at the National Leadership Conference, it stands to reason that we run into each other everywhere. Members are starting to collect state trading pins - maybe we'll have a blog post on "pin mania" later this week.

Selected events took place today, but the conference sessions begin in earnest tomorrow for officers and members alike. Hopefully I'll have time to do some blogging throughout the day. I did find out today that we may not be able to get the live blogging done in general sessions - unless we want to pay for Internet access in the meeting rooms. There are some "hot spots" in the meeting areas, so we'll see if that will work for us instead.
