Do You Get Enough Vitamin D?

If you teach a nutrition class, or are a student in one, you have likely discussed vitamins and minerals.  You may have even learned that Vitamin D is the "sunshine vitamin."  I guess my background in teaching family and consumer sciences is what made me take a second look at this post at Cool Infographics.   I've inserted the photo of their infographic here, but I encourage you to visit their site to see it and the information posted in their blog post.

Perhaps this infographic would provide a basis for discussion about nutrients in the diet, and how best to obtain them, as well as the health concerns with over-exposure to sunlight.  Another discussion topic may also center around SAD - or seasonal affective disorder.  What other conversations might this infographic lead to in the family and consumer sciences classroom?
